Autism Deserves Equal Coverage Foundation

Experts estimate that 1 in 68 children will be diagnosed with autism this year. Imagine a world where every one of these kids can get the therapy and services they need.  Autism Deserves Equal Coverage (ADEC) advocates can work with you and help you find the help your child needs. We sweat the details so you can focus on your family.

What We Do
We advocate and work with providers, families, therapists, ABA agencies, regional centers, regulators, government agencies, and large employers in securing insurance to cover medically necessary treatments for autism and related disorders, including behavioral health, ABA, Speech, OT, PT, Social Skills, and Evaluations.

We negotiate with Medicaid, health plans, insurance companies, and state and federal regulators to fund services for autism spectrum and related disorders.

We work with self insured companies to help design and implement autism benefits.

Help Maintain Treatment Access in These Uncertain Times
It's #Giving Tuesday - a day to give back - a day to give hope. Families struggling with autism need hope.  Treatment for autism is effective . . . if it is available . . . but thousands who need it cannot access this life-transforming treatment.  Despite having avoided a full repeal of the ACA, the republican tax bill removed the individual mandate to have health insurance which will increase costs are likely to further destabilize health plans and increase premiums. In addition to ensuring coverage for preexisting conditions, the ACA (Obamacare providers critical mental health protections to our community that we need to protect. But to do that w need your help. Donations of any amount can help! $25 $50 $100 $250. $500 provides comprehensive insurance consultation for 1 family. $1000 funds an insurance presentation/webinar to educate 50 families how to access care. $3000 purchases health plan for a child for one year to cover treatment of up to $70,000. California's most vulnerable kids need this life-changing treatment.
